The death toll of Filipinos who died due to the combined wrath of southwest monsoon (habagat), and Tropical Cyclones "Crising," "Dante," and "Emong," has climbed to 25, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported Friday.

Of the six fatalities, three have been confirmed, while 22 were being verified, based on the latest situation report of the NDRRMC.

Further, eight persons were reported hurt, and eight were missing.

Over one million families, or about 3.8 million persons, were affected. Of which, 278,711 individuals were served inside 1,226 evacuation centers.

Meanwhile, a total of 5,888 persons from Ilocos Sur, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Caraga, and Cordillera Administrative Region were pre-emptively evacuated.

Further, the estimated cost of damaged houses has reached P3.2 million as of Friday.

The estimated cost of damage to agriculture was pegged at P648 million, affecting 15,820 farmers and fisherfolk.

"Emong" has weakened into a tropical storm and is now passing close to the Babuyan Islands, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

It is forecast to exit the Philippine area of responsibility Saturday morning, 26 July.
