CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Fishermen discovered the remains of an unidentified woman floating in a river in Bulacan on Wednesday afternoon (23 July), prompting an investigation by local authorities.

According to a report submitted to Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., director of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), the body was found at approximately 2:10 p.m. in Sitio Kakayatan, Taliptip, Bulakan town.

The victim, estimated to be between 30 and 45 years old and standing 5’3” to 5’5” tall, was clad in a red T-shirt and jeans. Authorities suspect strong currents swept her body downstream from an upstream location before it was spotted by the fishermen.

The remains were retrieved and transported to the town’s fishport, where barangay officials were notified. The officials subsequently reported the incident to the Bulakan Police Station for further investigation.
