Infrastructure damage due to the combined wrath of the southwest monsoon (habagat) and Tropical Cyclones "Crising," "Dante," and "Emong" has climbed to P3.75 billion, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported Wednesday.

DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan said the partial damage cost — still subject to field validation — includes P483.69 million in damages to national roads, P24.48 million to national bridges, and P3.25 billion to flood control structures.

The reported damages were recorded in the Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island.

Meanwhile, the DPWH Quick Response Team has reopened 35 national road sections as of Wednesday.

However, five sections remain impassable: two in the Ilocos Region, one in the Cordillera Administrative Region, one in Central Luzon, and one in Calabarzon due to soil collapse and flooding.
