A woman who was nine months pregnant died after being struck by a falling tree in Malita, Davao Occidental.
According to a report by GMA News, the 23-year-old woman was walking in Barangay Ticulon when the incident occurred. The tree, identified as a centennial coconut tree, toppled despite there being no strong winds at the time.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but later died due to severe injuries to her head and body. Her unborn child also did not survive.
