Drone owners can now protect their investments with Pioneer Insurance’s new “Drone Worry Be Happy” plan, specifically designed for unmanned aerial vehicle enthusiasts.
The insurance plan addresses the inherent risks of drone operation, including crashes, collisions, harsh weather and legal liabilities. It covers damages from accidental collisions, water damage, fire, lightning and acts of nature.
Pioneer Insurance recently highlighted the importance of drone insurance during its “Pioneer Drone Shootfest,” an online reel competition showcasing “happy places” captured by drones.
“Drones open amazing possibilities for work and play. But like any tool or passion, they come with risks,” said James Quin, Pioneer Aviation head.
“We at Pioneer wanted drone users, whether hobbyists or professionals, to feel confident and protected every time they take flight,” he added.
Quin added that “having the right insurance isn’t just a smart choice — it’s essential. It gives users peace of mind knowing their investment and creativity are protected, allowing them to fly their drones with confidence.”
Preliminary and final judging for the Shootfest were held at Pioneer House Makati, bringing together individuals from creative fields, visual storytellers, drone videographers and Pioneer executives.
