The Jollibee Group is exploring potential partnerships and expansion opportunities in Alberta, Canada as it seeks to strengthen its market presence in North America.
The homegrown fast food giant said Thursday that it hosted Minister RJ Sigurdson at its Manila headquarters to map out a potential partnership.
He was joined by Deputy Minister Jason Hale and representatives from Alberta’s Indo-Pacific Hub and the Canadian Embassy in the Philippines.
Key growth market
“Canada continues to be a key growth market for the Jollibee Group. Just last year, we opened our milestone 100th store in North America, located in British Columbia, Canada. We’re excited about the opportunities to expand our footprint in Alberta,” said Joseph Tanbuntiong, chief executive officer, Jollibee Group Philippines.
“We look forward to strengthening business partnerships and contributing to the local economy by serving our well-loved offerings to more communities, spreading more joy to more people.”
As of May, Jollibee Group operates 28 stores in Canada, including eight in Alberta across Edmonton, Calgary and Red Deer.
