SM Supermalls has helped over 180,000 Filipinos find employment through more than 300 job fairs held nationwide since early 2024. The ongoing campaign has led to over 24,000 on-the-spot hires, with support from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Department of Health (DOH), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
This year, SM enhanced its program with the launch of the “Job Fair + Skills Hub” in partnership with TESDA. The new feature allows job seekers to receive training advice and enroll in free upskilling programs, helping them become more competitive in the labor market.
Positions were offered across a wide range of industries, including retail, logistics, BPO, and food services.
In addition to its long-standing support for traditional sectors, SM expanded its reach through new partnerships in logistics and supply chain, retail, and public health. In collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH), job fairs for healthcare workers were conducted to bolster the country's healthcare sector.
Several applicants praised the experience for providing accessible job matching and government support services all in one place.
“I’ve been to other job fairs, pero dito lang ako na-hire on the spot. Ang daming choices, maayos ang lugar, at may mga government booths pa! Super sulit," said Jolina, who found a job as a sales associate at a job fair.
