
CAMP TOLENTINO, Bataan — The Bataan Police Provincial Office led by its director P/Col. Marites Salvadora scored a victory in its campaign against illegal drugs with the confiscation of P611,000 worth of shabu and the arrest of 66 suspected individuals.
In her report to B/Gen. Rogelio Peñones, Central Luzon police director, Salvadora reported the said score was a product of their weeklong intensified anti-crime operations from 7 to 13 July.
“These efforts resulted in the arrest of 66 individuals, including 11 for drug-related offenses, and seized suspected shabu valued at approximately P611,189.44. Some 55 individuals were arrested during manhunt operations, implementation of search warrants, and for other violations such as illegal gambling, illegal fishing and other special laws,” Salvadora said.
She pointed out that the operations were conducted in line with the directive of Philippine National Police chief Police General Nicolas Torre III, which aimed at strengthening police visibility and ensuring swift and responsive public service, duly supported by Peñones to implement regionwide.
The provincial director recognized the success of these operations to the proactive engagement of police personnel, stressing the importance of consistent law enforcement presence in maintaining peace and order throughout the province.
