Top regional most wanted nabbed in Bulacan

B/Gen. Rogelio "Pojie" Peñones, Central Luzon police director, reported Wednesday afternoon that a top regional most wanted person was arrested by authorities in a joint police operation at around 12:30 p.m. on 9 June 2025, in Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Peñones identified the suspect as Alias Joe, 30 years old, a businessman and resident of 006 Maligaya Site, Brgy. Sta. Cruz.

Peñones said the suspect was apprehended by joint elements of the Regional Special Operations Group 3 – Regional Intelligence Division (RSOG3-RID), in coordination with the Guiguinto Municipal Police Station and Bulacan Police Provincial Office.

Joe, who ranks Top 8 in the Regional Level Most Wanted Persons list, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for rape under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1(A) of the Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic Act 8353.

The warrant was issued under Criminal Case No. 3340-M-2025 by Hon. Theresa Genevieve N. Co, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 17, Malolos City, Bulacan, dated May 20, 2025. The court recommended no bail for his temporary liberty.

In lauding the operating units for their successful operation, Gen. Peñones said:

“This arrest underscores our relentless efforts in pursuing justice and ensuring that fugitives, no matter how long they evade the law, will ultimately be held accountable. Let this be a stern warning to all wanted persons—your time on the run will come to an end. We remain steadfast in our duty to protect the community and uphold the law.”
