In a vibrant mix of youthful energy and timeless elegance, The Runway Atelier’s Reverie Fashion Show took the spotlight this June at the whimsical Lights of Love Events Place in Manila. Instead of the usual couture or dramatic eveningwear, the show opened with a playful twist — student uniforms and back-to-school fashion brought to the runway with flair.
Gone are the days of plain collars and basic slacks. This season’s school style took a modern turn with Kittly Manila’s latest back-to-school bag collection leading the way. Young models walked the runway with confidence, wearing ergonomic backpacks in bold shades like teal, plum, brown, and white, styled with embroidered patches, keychains, and monogrammed tags.
Designed for the tech-savvy student, the bags featured padded compartments, well-placed pockets, and structured forms — showing that functionality and fashion can go hand in hand.
Kittly Manila’s line struck a balance between practicality and personal expression. From minimalist totes to bold backpacks, each item encouraged Gen Z students to showcase their individuality—even in everyday school routines.
The show’s second act shifted gears from school-ready to aisle-ready, with an elegant showcase of bridalwear. Models took to the runway in flowing white gowns under soft lights, offering a diverse selection of silhouettes—from romantic A-lines and ballgowns to modern off-shoulder cuts and illusion necklines.
Touches of floral appliqués, soft tulles, and vintage lace added depth to the designs, making the collection feel both classic and current. Whether traditional or modern, every look was tailored to today’s bride with a touch of whimsy and sophistication.
A special segment introduced this year’s Miss and Mister Tourism Junior Global 2025 Philippines representatives, who are set to compete in Thailand on 5 July. Poised and camera-ready, the young contenders joined their peers on the runway, adding a cultural and aspirational layer to the evening.
Their presence underscored how fashion intersects with personal growth, cultural identity, and youthful ambition.
Instead of following a single theme, Reverie embraced two distinct milestones — the start of a school year and the promise of “forever.” By combining student fashion with bridal couture, the show highlighted how clothing can mark both everyday routines and life’s major celebrations.
From expressive backpacks to dreamy wedding gowns, Reverie was a creative blend of style, transformation, and story. Whether heading to class or walking down the aisle, it was a showcase of how fashion accompanies us through life’s many chapters.
