Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) has been named one of TIME Magazine’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies for 2025, becoming the only Philippine real estate firm to make the prestigious global list.
The recognition, based on a review of over 5,700 companies across 36 countries, highlights Ayala Land’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) leadership and long-term commitment to net zero emissions by 2050.
"This global distinction affirms that sustainability is not just a pillar of our strategy — it’s embedded in the way we build, grow, and create impact,” said Robert S. Lao, Chief Sustainability Officer of Ayala Land. “It pushes us further to lead in shaping greener, more resilient communities for generations to come.”
As of end-2024, 96 percent of ALI’s commercial gross leasable area is powered by renewable energy. The company has also diverted 32 percent of its waste from landfills and has 34 green-certified buildings, while basing its targets on the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Ayala Land joins Globe Telecom as the only Philippine firms on TIME’s 2025 list.
