CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Department of Health - Central Luzon Center for Health Development (DOH-CLCHD) hosted a government job fair on June 27 at SM City Pampanga, aimed at boosting the employment of healthcare workers in the region.
The event, titled “Trabahong Sigurado, Nasa Gobyerno!”, was part of the DOH’s nationwide job fair in celebration of its anniversary.
Participating institutions included Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center, Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital, Talavera General Hospital, Mariveles Mental Wellness and General Hospital, Bataan Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, and the Mega Drug Abuse and Treatment Rehabilitation Center.
A contract signing was also held during the fair for newly hired and renewing employees.
Meanwhile, the Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Services (BUCAS) center in the City of San Jose del Monte marked its first anniversary, celebrating a year of delivering timely and community-based healthcare to thousands of Bulakeños.
The BUCAS center, managed by the Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium, was recognized for its success in improving access to diagnostics, consultations, and minor medical procedures—helping decongest hospitals and supporting the implementation of Universal Health Care.
DOH Undersecretary Dr. Emmie Liza Perez-Chiong, DOH-CLCHD Regional Director Dr. Corazon I. Flores, and DOH-NCR Regional Director Dr. Lester Tan reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to expanding the BUCAS model nationwide.
Rep. Florida “Rida” P. Robes, who led the anniversary celebration, emphasized the role of BUCAS in bringing quality and affordable healthcare closer to Filipino families.
Also present were City Health Officer Dr. Roselle Tolentino and health professionals from Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital, whose service was key to the center’s success over the past year.
