Feels like January in June

Back-to-back birthday celebrations! The celebrant? Moi! I’m so touched and grateful for all the love from my besties, and for coming to celebrate my birthday again and again and again. One was hosted by besties Alice Samson with Tita Nene Leonor. It’s Friday, 13 June, andI had the best time. For one, it was at one of my fave spots owned by Joel and Carla — The French Bistro — so the food and vibes were exceptional. Second, I was surrounded by my besties. We all drank and danced like there was no tomorrow. Some even grabbed the mic to sing live! Needless to say, we put the “bad luck” notions to this Friday the 13th to rest. I’m blessed and living the life! And when I blew out their sweet cake for me, I could only say thank you.

The next party was by my Philippine Best Dressed family, organized by Shy and Billy Tan! Seventy of us spent an ultra-glam and exclusive party at Okada’s gorgeous “La Piazza.” Dress code? Hollywood Glamor in all black. Of course, I got the dress code loud and clear. Seductive, mysterious and chic. Va-va-voom! But my Best Dressed family didn’t come to play either. They came to slay with stunning looks. Everything you would expect from past Best Dressed awardees.

There was endless food, wine, karaoke and even a fountain show! Yes, we paused our partying to watch Okada’s iconic dancing fountain. But the party vibes never went down. I just love this bunch! And I will definitely see more of them as we’re preparing for this year’s nominations and awarding. All happening soon!
