Nagdagdag ang Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ng 10 bagong gamot sa listahan ng mga produktong exempted sa value-added tax (VAT), kabilang ang mga ginagamit para sa cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol, altapresyon, at mental illness.
Batay ito sa inilabas na Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 62-2025 ng BIR.
Ayon kay BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr., lahat ng Pilipinong may chronic o malubhang sakit ay makikinabang sa pinakabagong listahan ng VAT-exempt na gamot, alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 10963 o TRAIN Law at sa Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises (CREATE) Act.
