The Department of Migrant Workers in Central Visayas (DMW-7) released yesterday financial assistance to three bedridden overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), true to its mandate to demonstrate “Kalinga” and “Malasakit.”
The Welfare Reintegration Services Division of DMW-7 delivered the medical assistance right at the homes of the OFWs, one in Sitio Pang-panglanug, Kalunasan, Cebu City and another one in 122 Lopez Jaena Street, Barangay Poblacion, Talisay City, Cebu. The third, who is currently confined for his chemotherapy sessions, was delivered to a hospital.
“The three of them each received P75,000 in financial assistance that will help cover their medical needs,” said DMW-7 regional director Maria Eloida O. Cantona.
