Alden Richards, the Kapuso superstar, hailed as Asia’s Multimedia Star and Box Office King, makes a powerful return to the hosting spotlight with GMA Network’s electrifying new dance competition, Stars on the Floor. But for Alden, this isn’t just another project—it’s a career milestone.
“For the record, I think this is the best show I have ever hosted on GMA,” Alden boldly declared during the show’s recent media conference. “Ito ‘yung show na excited akong puntahan, excited akong makita ‘yung mga kasama ko. It gives something truly different to the world of dance and television.”
A stage filled with energy and purpose
In Stars on the Floor, celebrity performers and digital dance influencers go head-to-head in what’s dubbed the ultimate COLLABanan sa Sayawan. And while the competition is fierce, Alden says it’s the behind-the-scenes synergy that makes the show truly one-of-a-kind.
“There’s this collective energy on set—from the staff, the creatives, the dancers, the crew. We’re all in one boat, pushing each other to bring out our best,” Alden shared. “As a host, I feel that energy, and it fuels me. It makes the job not only easier—but genuinely fulfilling.”
That enthusiasm spills into every taping day. “We talk about it all the time—kami nila Marian. Even after long hours, we go home not feeling tired. That’s how much we enjoy doing the show.”
The heartbeat of the show
More than just a presenter, Alden sees his role as a vital bridge—linking the dance stars to the audience, and bringing the intensity of every performance into the homes of viewers.
“The host carries the pulse of the show. It’s my job to connect everyone—to keep the rhythm flowing, from stage to screen,” he explained. “And this show’s energy really helps me by a long shot. It uplifts you.”
A star-Studded dance showdown
The dance floor will be ablaze with talent as celebrities like Glaiza de Castro, Rodjun Cruz, Faith da Silva, Thea Astley, and VXON’s Patrick compete against top digital dance stars Zeus Collins, Dasuri Choi, JM Yrreverre, Kakai Almeda, and Joshua Decena.
Adding flair and fierce critique to the show are the Dance Authority panel: Marian Rivera, Pokwang, and Coach Jay, each bringing their signature style, humor, and expertise to every performance.
