More than P1 million worth of illegal drugs were seized from two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Rodriguez, Rizal, Friday morning.
Arrested in the operation were identified only as alias Dindo, 42, a delivery rider, and alias Jec, 29, both residents of Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez.
The suspects were apprehended in an anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by operatives of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station's drug enforcement team in Barangay San Isidro around 1:05 a.m.
Confiscated from the suspects were one knot-tied and four sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 162 grams, with a standard drug price of P1,101,600.
Also seized from their possession were P1,000 buy-bust money, a digital weighing scale, a pouch, and identification cards.
The suspects are currently detained at the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station custodial facility while facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
