Radius telecoms earns double global awards for innovation, standards

Radius Telecoms, a subsidiary of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has achieved two significant global milestones as it celebrates its 25th anniversary: recognition at the International Finance Awards (IFA) and an upgraded Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) 3.0 certification.

For the second consecutive year, Radius won the Most Strategic Partnership for Hyperscale Data Center under the Telecom category at the IFA. The award highlights the company’s role in advancing the Philippines’ growing digital infrastructure amid the rise of data centers.

United by shared vision, we remain committed to providing reliable and secure service that caters to the evolving needs of our customers,” said Radius President and CEO Exequiel Delgado.

The IFA, organized by UK-based International Finance Publications Ltd., honors leadership excellence and market influence across industries including telecommunications, energy, and healthcare. Winners are selected based on application strength and past achievements.

In March 2025, Radius also earned MEF 3.0 Carrier Ethernet (CE) Certification, affirming its carrier ethernet services meet global standards for performance, security, and agility in the $60+ billion CE market.

“We have secured MEF 3.0 for our e-Tree and e-Line variants. We expect to secure our e-LAN variant by the end of the second quarter this year,” said Al Solis, Radius Chief Operating Officer.

MEF 3.0 standards ensure high-speed, secure network services that support network backhaul, cloud access, and multi-site connectivity for businesses and service providers worldwide.
