The Philippine athletics team clinched two gold medals and two silver medals over the weekend at the Korea Athletics Open at the Yecheon Stadium in Yecheon, South Korea.
Southeast Asian (SEA) Games champion William Morrison III struck gold in the men’s shot put with a throw of 18.80 meters.
Bernalyn Bejoy dominated the women’s 800m event after clocking in two minutes and 8.44 seconds.
David Matibag settled for a silver in the men’s 800m event with a time of 1:50.42.
Clinton Bautista also got a silver medal in the Korea Athletics Open after clocking in 13.998 seconds in the men’s 110m hurdles.
