DMW: Lebanon OFWs seeking repatriation
Published on

Requests for repatriation from overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Lebanon continue to pour in as tensions remained high there, according to Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Cacdac.

“The desire to go home continues to be expressed, especially in Lebanon because the situation is still quite volatile,” he said.

Cacdac assured the public that the government’s free repatriation efforts are ongoing and will continue for as long as tensions persist.

On the evening of Eid al-Adha, Israel carried out airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs following evacuation warnings for several buildings in the area.
