Another historic project has been made into reality after the local government of Cainta, Rizal officially opened on Tuesday the town's blood bank at the LGU-run Cainta Municipal Hospital. It is an undertaking that, according to the mayor, took almost three years of planning, budgeting, and compliance with the necessary regulations.
Mayor Elen Nieto expressed her gratitude to those who helped made it happen.
"After almost three years of planning, budgeting and complying, our Blood Bank is now open. We now stand with the Rizal Provincial Hospital in fulfilling blood requests of Cainteños and Rizaleños," Nieto said while acknowledging the presence of Governor Nina Ynares.
"This is our hospital's newest service, with the goal of offering free blood to our patients. Beginning tomorrow, we will be open for donation, and soon we will be working with various groups for blood letting activities," the mayor added. This project is not just a facility, but a symbol of the care and life we can offer to other people," she concluded.
