LTO launches MVIF, slashes vehicle inspection time

Land Transportation Office personnel assist a public transport bus at the new Mobile Motor Vehicle Inspection Facility (MVIF) at the LTO Central Office in Quezon City on Monday.

The MVIF is capable of inspecting both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles, with each inspection taking only 10–12 minutes for LDVs and around 30 minutes for HDVs. The fully automated process records results in real time, eliminating human intervention and ensuring faster, more accurate, and tamper-proof assessments.

The newly acquired MVIF is part of the LTO’s push for road safety and its campaign to ensure all vehicles on the road are roadworthy.
