In a simple but meaningful ceremony at the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) National Headquarters in Manila, PCG Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil L. Gavan led the donning and oath-taking of new PCG Auxiliary officers from the Department of Justice (DoJ).
DoJ Undersecretary Jesse Hermogenes T. Andres and Assistant Secretary Eliseo D.C. Cruz were officially commissioned as Auxiliary Rear Admirals, while DoJ Planning and Management Service Director Vanya Ysabel M. Maneja-Kharazmi was appointed as Auxiliary Commodore.
In his remarks, Undersecretary Andres expressed gratitude for the honor and pledged to uphold the duties and responsibilities of his new role, both as a DoJ official and member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Both Andres and Cruz head the DOJ’s Law Enforcement Cluster and played key roles in the success of last year’s Training and Educational Program for Law Enforcement Officers, which trained numerous law enforcers nationwide.
