Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc., the portfolio manager of the Aboitiz Group, reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development by participating in the High-Level Dialogue on the Sustainable Development Goals organized by the Global Compact Network Philippines and the United Nations Global Compact.
Held at BPI Townhall in Makati City, the event brought together private sector leaders, civil society and government representatives to advance collaborative action toward the 2030 Agenda.
The dialogue was part of the official mission to the Philippines of Ms. Tonilyn Lim, Chief of Programs at the UN Global Compact, and featured key insights on global strategy, the enhanced Communication on Progress and opportunities for stronger public-private alignment.
Lim was joined by Minister Jesus Garcia, who represented His Excellency Amb. Antonio Lagdameo, the Philippines’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
Minister Garcia emphasized the Philippine government’s commitment to advancing the SDGs through stronger collaboration with the GCNP and the private sector.
