The Manila leg of the EastWest Dream Run is targeting around 6,000 runners when it starts on 15 June at Filinvest Alabang.
RUNRIO Inc. founder Rio dela Cruz said they want to surpass the turnout in their previous legs in Davao City and Cebu City.
“We reached a combined total of 6,000 runners in Davao and Cebu. For Filinvest, we want to entice more runners than the previous legs,” Dela Cruz said of the event that will cap off EastWest Bank’s 30th anniversary celebration.
“EastWest wants the runners to live a healthy lifestyle and through our partnership, we are hoping for it to be successful so we can do it again.”
Among the events that will be disputed are the one-kilometer Dog Run, two-kilometer Kids category, 5-km, 10-km and the 30-km Challenge.
EastWest Bank head of marketing Martin Reyes said with Dream Run also coinciding with the 70th anniversary of Filinvest, runners can expect a lot of activities for them to enjoy during the event.
Other than staying in shape, Reyes believes these kinds of activities will also encourage camaraderie among runners as well as their friends and families.
