Regus, the world’s leading flexible workspace provider, has officially opened its 39th location in the Philippines at Victoria de Makati. The grand launch and blessing of the new center took place on Friday, 9 May 2025, further solidifying Regus’ commitment to supporting businesses of all sizes in Metro Manila.

With a global membership base of over 8 million, Regus continues to lead the co-working industry, offering flexible office solutions to a diverse range of professionals, from large corporations to small businesses and independent practitioners.

In an interview with the DAILY TRIBUNE during the launch, International Workplace Group (IWG) country manager Rowena Natividad discusses what makes Regus stand out in the crowded co-working space market. “What makes us different from the rest of the coworking spaces here in Makati is that, in terms of the network, we have the biggest network. We have over 8 million members globally. And in terms of location, this is our 39th center that we launched,” Natividad explained.

As for the design of the new location, Natividad emphasized that the interiors follow Regus’ global standards, which cater to collaborative environments. “We want the space to cater to a more collaborative environment. We have a lounge area, called the ‘club area,’ where tenants or customers may host networking events. It encourages collaboration, and at the end of the day, people want to interact. That’s how people build culture for their companies, and culture builds resilience,” she says.

The new Regus center in Victoria de Makati offers a variety of office solutions, from private suites to open-plan workstations and meeting rooms. The flexible design ensures that businesses — from multinational corporations to local SMEs — have the flexibility they need to adapt to changing market demands.

The location also holds appeal for the local community, particularly in light of its proximity to Manila, Makati and Pasay, making it an ideal choice for professionals seeking convenience without the long commute. “Worth mentioning is that this building is actually a residential development, so the majority of the tenants here are unit owners. We provide them with the added amenity of a flexible workspace,” Natividad explained.

In the post-pandemic era, the demand for co-working spaces has surged, and the hybrid working model has become a permanent fixture in many businesses’ operations. “The pandemic turbocharged the demand for flexible workspaces. Many households in the Philippines are multi-generational, and working from home can be challenging. So, companies are looking for more options that provide flexibility and convenience,” Natividad said.

Clients can choose from a wide range of spaces available at Regus Victoria de Makati from ones that can accommodate one- to two-persons to larger ones that can fit up to 26 people.

IWG’s expansion doesn’t stop in Makati. The company has locations in key cities across the Philippines, including Cebu, Davao, Bohol, Clark, Subic, and Baguio. “In terms of demand for Makati, it’s very strong. We’ve been receiving 200 inquiries for Makati alone,” Natividad adds. “Nationwide, we’re receiving 2,000 inquiries monthly. With that level of interest, we expect this new center to be highly successful.”

The Victoria de Makati location is equipped with 46 private offices, 296 workstations, 18 co-working desks, and two meeting rooms. The office sizes range from small, one- to two-person setups to larger spaces that can accommodate up to 26 people. “The beauty of flexible solutions is that we can adjust the space based on the client’s needs,” said Natividad.

As Regus continues to expand its reach, it remains dedicated to providing businesses with the flexibility and resources needed to thrive in today’s rapidly changing work environment. With its new location in Victoria de Makati, Regus is poised to continue offering top-tier office solutions for businesses across Metro Manila.
