This Mother’s Day, Hotel Okura Manila invites guests to celebrate Haha no Hi — the Japanese tradition of honoring mothers — with elegance, flavor, and heartfelt appreciation. From exquisite buffets to refined kaiseki dining, the hotel’s signature restaurants, Yawaragi and Yamazato, are offering curated experiences that capture the spirit of the occasion.

A lavish family feast at Yawaragi

On 11 May, families can gather at Yawaragi for a grand buffet featuring a blend of Japanese and international gourmet selections. Highlights include Australian Wagyu Chuck Eye Roll Pot Roast, a 12-hour roasted Omaha Steamship with Herbed Dijon Crust, and seafood delights like Japanese Oyster Thermidor and Vietnamese Cajun Crayfish.

Every mother dining at Yawaragi on this special day will be treated to a signature mocktail, a thoughtful gift from Ben & Bart, and a customizable red carnation bouquet from Alora Events & Bouquets — symbolizing love and grace in Japanese culture.

Buffet is priced at P3,950 per person and available for both lunch and dinner.

Complementing the buffet is the Mother’s Day Pastry Boutique, open from 1 to 11 May. The boutique offers an array of French-Japanese-inspired confections, including Raspberry Charlotte, Sakura Bonbons, and the intricate Sakura Chocolate Sphere. Prices start at P350 net.

Diners looking for flair can book a seat at the teppanyaki counter for the Mother’s Day Teppan Special, which includes standout ingredients like Firefly Squid, Pink Lapu-Lapu, and two types of A5 Wagyu. Priced at P7,700 per person, the menu is available for lunch and dinner from 5 to 11 May.
