Makati Rep. Luis Campos Jr. is throwing his full support behind the use of satellite technology to deliver reliable internet to public schools in far-flung and underserved areas across the country.
“Our goal should be simple: no learner gets left behind just because of where they live,” Campos said. “With satellite internet, we can break through physical barriers and finally connect schools that have been out of reach for too long.”
Campos stressed that equal access to digital tools is crucial for improving public education and preparing Filipino students to compete globally. He pointed out that satellite connectivity is not only practical but also a cost-effective way to reach geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
He praised the Department of Information and Communications Technology and its partners for pushing innovative solutions to bridge the digital divide.
“Investing in technologies like satellite internet isn’t just a smart move — it’s a must,” Campos added.
A long-time advocate for digital inclusion and education reform, Campos called on both government and private sectors to work together to speed up efforts to strengthen digital infrastructure in all schools.
