The Philippine national women's football team re-asserted its mastery over the Unied Arab Emirates, 4-0, in a friendly game at the UAE Football Association Headquarters early Wednesday at Al Khawaneej.
This is the second time the Philippines won over UAE after its 4-1 victory last Friday at the same venue.
Sara Eggesvik set the tone for the Filipinas after she scored a goal in the 37th minute and never looked back.
More goals came for the Philippines in the second half courtesy of Carleigh Frilles in the 54th minute, team captain Hali Long in the 62nd minute, and Chandler McDaniel the 74th minute.
"They sat in a different formation, so we had to be a little more patient on the ball. We got a little frustrated -- me, individually, included -- in the first half, but we just kept wearing them down and kept the ball moving," said Katrina Guillou, who was named Player of the Match.
