Kaunlad Pinoy Partylist (#133 on the ballot) met with Muslim community leaders and members in New Lower Bicutan, Taguig to listen, learn, and strengthen their shared commitment to inclusive progress.

James Christopher “Kuya Choi,” the first nominee of Kaunlad Pinoy, led the dialogue, which focused on the challenges and aspirations of the Muslim community in the area.

The meeting was an open conversation about needs, opportunities and Kaunlad Pinoy’s mission to make entrepreneurship and livelihood accessible to all sectors — especially those often left out.

“Our Muslim brothers and sisters have long played a vital role in the fabric of our nation. Their strength, culture and spirit of community deserve not only respect but real support,” Kuya Choi said.

The gathering also included Muslim members of NegoNation, Kaunlad Pinoy’s grassroots livelihood and membership program that equips aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools to start small businesses.

The community’s response was filled with appreciation.

One community leader shared, “It’s rare for us to be directly asked, ‘What do you need? How can we help?’ Kaunlad Pinoy did that today.”

Kuya Choi reaffirmed that Kaunlad Pinoy’s commitment didn’t begin with the campaign season — and won’t end there either.

“Regardless of religion or background, every Filipino should have the opportunity to thrive. That’s why we say: Every Filipino should have a business. And we mean every Filipino.”
