A lack of road discipline can cause traffic chaos and even mishaps.

In Montgomery Township, Pennsylvania, USA, reckless driving is being addressed in a never-before-tried and intriguing way. Instead of straight lines, curved lines were painted on a road down a residential street called Grays Lane.

Local officials explained the patterns were meant to curb speeding on the lane, New York Post (NYP) reports. People reacted by wondering why speed bumps were not used instead.

One driver who followed the curved lines told NYP, “If you were to drive like that down the street, the police would think you were drinking and driving and pull you over.”

Meanwhile, a slow-moving SUV in Zhejiang, China rolled too closely to the side of the road as shown in a viral video on GMA News.

The video then shows pedestrians being alerted as the car hit a guardrail, toppling it, before coming to a full stop. The next scene showed a pedestrian checking if the driver was having a medical emergency.

When the pedestrian opened the driver’s door, he saw no one inside but a dog jumped out and ran away.

Soon the owner of the runaway vehicle appeared. He had apparently left the car’s engine running in his rush and failed to put it on park mode.

His pet, who was left inside, might have accidentally touched the electronic handbrake causing the car to move, according to the owner.
