A bed is not always for sleeping as a babysitter in Kansas, USA found out on 24 March. The babysitter’s ward claimed there was a monster under her bed and she tried to assure her there wasn’t one by looking under it.
To her shock, a male intruder was hiding under the bed, NBC News reports. She confronted the burglar and the ensuing altercation knocked the child over before he fled.
The babysitter reported the break-in to police who later arrested Martin Villalobos Jr., 27, a former tenant in the home.
Villalobos was charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, child endangerment, felony obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and violation of a protection from abuse order, according to NBC News.
Meanwhile, sleeping may not only be done in a bedroom as three women who had just moved into an apartment in the East Village in New York City found out.
A TikTok video shot from a second floor window and posted online by one of the women went viral with over 300,000 views as it showed a bizarre scene in the apartment’s tiny backyard.
The footage showed a man sleeping in a bed under a white blanket in the garden.
“Update on our move from the West Village to the East Village,” she captioned the video, New York Post (NYP) reports.
The sleeper and his bed were again in the backyard the next day, but were never seen since, according to NYP.
