BAGUIO CITY — The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Sta. Ana, Cagayan is advising the public to take necessary precautions in anticipation of the possible landing of debris from a rocket of China.
In an advisory, the MDRRMO urges the residents of the areas where the debris are expected to fall. This after the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) issued a warning that China launched its Long March 7A rocket on 30 March. According to the PhilSA, the possible falling of the debris may give danger to sea motor vehicles within the 64 nautical miles from Dalupiri Island, Sta. Ana, Cagayan and portion of Ilocos Norte.
Sta. Ana MDRRM officer Marion Miranda, said they are urging especially the fisherfolks who are going to the sea to be always on alert.
