Reelectionist Senator Bong Go and ACT-CIS Party-list Representative Erwin Tulfo are emerging as the strongest contenders in the 2025 senatorial race, according to a recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

The survey, conducted from 15-20 March 2025, shows Go and Tulfo tied at the top spot with 42% of voter preference each, signaling strong early support for both candidates.

Personalities dominate

Following closely behind are broadcaster Ben Tulfo and former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, who tied for 3rd to 4th place with 34% each.

Veteran lawmakers and political figures continued to hold significant ground, with:

  • Senator Lito Lapid in 5th place (33%)

  • Senator Bong Revilla in 6th place (32%)

  • Senator Pia Cayetano and former Senator Ping Lacson tied at 7th to 8th place (31%)

  • Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa ranking 9th (30%)

  • TV host Willie Revillame securing 10th place (28%)

The final three slots in the Magic 12 are currently shared by:

  • Makati Mayor Abby Binay

  • Former Senator Manny Pacquiao

  • Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar

Each garnered 27%, placing them in a three-way tie for 11th to 13th place.

Familiar names lag behind

Candidates trailing just outside the top 12 include:

  • Former Senator Kiko Pangilinan (14th place, 24%)

  • Former Senator Bam Aquino (15th place, 21%)

  • Senator Imee Marcos (16th place, 19%)

  • Actor Philip Salvador (17th place, 18%)

  • Former DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. (18th place, 17%)

  • Former Senator Gringo Honasan (19th place, 15%)

  • Senator Francis Tolentino (20th place, 13%)

The SWS survey interviewed 1,800 registered voters nationwide through face-to-face interviews. It has a ±2.31% margin of error for national results and ±3.27% for Balance Luzon, while Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao have ±5.66% each.
