The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced Monday that a weeklong anti-criminality and anti-illegal drug operation resulted in the arrest of 251 individuals.
Acting Director P/Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. said the operations, conducted from 9 to 15 March, targeted various crimes.
In the campaign against illegal drugs, 49 operations led to the arrest of 69 drug suspects and the confiscation of P1,981,340 worth of illegal drugs.
The QCPD also arrested 78 wanted persons, including 33 Most Wanted Persons and 45 Other Wanted Persons, by virtue of warrants of arrest.
Notable arrests included Richard Burgos, the No. 8 Most Wanted Person of Fairview Police Station 5 who was arrested for robbery after nine years in detention at BJMP San Juan City Jail Male Dormitory; Ardian Labadan, the No. 3 Most Wanted Person of Holy Spirit Police Station 14, arrested in Camarines Sur for 10 counts of qualified rape after three years on the run and Gregorio Borja, No. 5 Municipal and No. 9 Provincial Level Most Wanted Person of Bohol, arrested in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City, for syndicated estafa after two years in hiding.
