In a swift and well-coordinated manhunt operation, the Taguig City police station led by Police chief PCol. Joey T. Goforth successfully apprehended a high-profile fugitive wanted for multiple criminal charges.

The arrest took place along Eastridge Avenue, Barangay San Roque, Angono, Rizal, on 13 March 2025, at approximately 6:40 p.m., resulting in the capture of alias “Boy,” a 54-year-old businessman and the 3rd Most Wanted Person (Station Level) for the 1st Quarter of 2025.

This marks a significant breakthrough in the station’s intensified anti-criminality campaign.

Alias “Boy” was arrested by virtue of multiple warrants of arrest issued by various courts for violations related to Illegal Recruitment and Estafa.

Among the charges filed against him are Criminal Case No. 2023-1395 for Illegal Recruitment, with a recommended bail of P120,000, issued on 26 October 2023, by Hon. Regina Paz A. Ramos-Chavez, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 274, Parañaque City.

He also faces Criminal Case No. 2024-0460 for Illegal Recruitment under Sec. 6, 1st Paragraph, RA 8042 as amended by RA 10022, with a recommended bail of P120,000, issued on 2 May 2024, by Hon. Harold Cesar C. Huliganga, Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 196, Parañaque City.

The suspect is also charged for Illegal Recruitment, with a recommended bail of P120,000 issued last 17 December 2024, by Hon. Ricardo Estavillo Amos, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 22, Laoang, Northern Samar.

One of the most serious charges against him is Illegal Recruitment by a Syndicate-Economic Sabotage, which carries no bail recommendation. He is also accused in Criminal Case No. COR-59422 for Estafa under Article 315, Paragraph 2(A) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 6 of RA 10175, with a recommended bail of P30,000, issued on 24 May 2024, by Hon. Joe Noel C. Lawas, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 84, Mandaue City.

The successful operation aligns with the directives of PBGen. Anthony A. Aberin, Acting Regional Director of the NCRPO, and PBGen. Manuel J. Abrugena, District Director of the Southern Police District, as part of the intensified campaign to apprehend Metro Manila’s most wanted fugitives.

Alias “Boy” is currently detained at the Taguig City Police Station’s custodial facility, awaiting the return of the arrest warrants to the issuing courts. His apprehension marks a significant step forward in the PNP’s mission to uphold the rule of law and bring justice to those victimized by fraudulent schemes.

Abrugena commended the Taguig City Police Station for their prompt and decisive action, emphasizing the Southern Police District’s commitment to delivering justice.

“This arrest underscores our commitment to ensuring that individuals facing serious criminal charges are held accountable. We will continue to intensify our efforts in pursuing wanted persons and maintaining peace and security in our communities,” Abrugena said.
