Capital1 head coach Let Dimzon hopes to make an impact with her new team for this year’s Philippine Football Federation Women’s League.
Dimzon, a former tactician for the Philippine women’s national football team, said she wants to see the Solar Strikers succeed just like she did back with defending champion Kaya FC-Iloilo.
Capital1 is the newest squad to join the Women’s League that is dominated by the likes of Kaya and Stallion Laguna FC, squads who have a lot of Filipinas players in their ranks.
While Dimzon did coach Kaya from 2019 to 2024, she admitted that it will take good planning and strategy to pull off an upset.
“That’s my passion: To develop the team and we wanted to see them grow like how we built Kaya. So I wanted to see this team on that stage,” Dimzon said.

Kaya also became the first Filipino football club to compete in the AFC Women’s Champions League last year.
Meanwhile, Stallion made some noise as the first Filipino club team to win the PFF Women’s Cup.
In fact, the Stallions, led by Filipinas members Olivia and Chandler McDaniel, Bella Pasion, and Sofia Harrison-Wunch, defeated Kaya 1-0 last December in the Women’s Cup final at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
Dimzon, who is also a head coach for Far Eastern University (FEU), said time is not an issue for her since she scheduled Capital1’s training to be with the school’s varsity team.
The Solar Strikers started training last Monday at the FEU Diliman Football Field in Quezon City.
“Since we started training with Capital1, I have already
