Someone’s mistake is another’s opportunity.
French cyclist Romain Gregoire was behind a dozen other cyclists in the 1 March Ardeche Classic race about 300 meters from the finish line but he still ended up the winner of the day-long competition in France.
The leading racers, including Juan Ayuso of Team UAE Emirates, took a wrong turn when they followed a TV motorbike instead of continuing straight on the road, Agence France-Presse reports.
The wrong turn left FDJ rider Gregoire alone and he pedaled straight to the finish line.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old woman from Deltona, Florida, USA was settling a score with her ex-boyfriend who still owes her $700.
With the help of a 16-year-old friend, they spray-painted his car and threw eggs on the windshield on 26 February.
Local police, however, caught them in the act of vandalizing the black Infinity parked in their neighborhood. Spray-painted on the side door was the word “devil” in yellow paint. Yellow emojis and graffiti were also painted on the hood, roof and the other side of the car.
More than their arrest, what shocked the vandals was what the officer told them.
“You guys spray-painted the wrong damn car,” police told Evelina Fabianski and her accomplice, New York Post (NYP) reports.
Fabianski was charged with criminal mischief, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of alcohol by a person under 21, and driving under the influence, according to NYP.
