VFS Global has introduced a Generative AI-powered chatbot designed to improve customer support for travelers applying for UK visas.

The chatbot provides instant, human-like responses through both voice and text commands, ensuring applicants receive accurate and real-time information about the visa process.

Developed by VFS Global’s AI teams in Dubai, Mumbai and Berlin, the chatbot operates on a secure IT infrastructure and is trained exclusively on publicly available data from VFS Global’s country-to-UK websites. A strong focus on ethical AI practices has been maintained, with the company collaborating with the Responsible AI Institute to ensure fairness and mitigate biases in responses.

Jen Vidler, deputy sirector at UK Visas and Immigration, emphasized that the chatbot makes visa services more accessible and efficient. She noted that providing immediate and accurate information will help maintain a high standard of service for customers.

Built with strict data security measures, it ensures user privacy through data masking and PII detection.

Additionally, the chatbot’s responses will continuously improve based on user feedback, refining the accuracy and relevance of the information provided.
