TNT once again escaped Rain or Shine's clutches, this time in a 93-91 thriller in Game 2 of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner's Cup semifinals at the Philsports Arena Friday evening.

The Tropang Giga now have a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series despite veterans Jayson Castro and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson leaving the court in the fourth quarter.

A jumper by Rain or Shine import Deon Thompson sparked an 11-0 run with 6:01 left to trim the lead down to two points.

In between the Elasto Painters' run, Hollis-Jefferson, who dropped a double-double game of 30 points and 10 rebounds for the Tropang Giga, was fouled out in the final 5:36 of the fourth period.

Castro was carried outside of the court after right knee injury with 3:07 left in the game after accidentally stepping on the foot of Rain or Shine guard Gian Mamuyac.

Adrian Nocum had a chance to force overtime with two seconds left but his jumper bounced off the back of the rim.

Castro had 13 points for TNT whilr Poy Erram had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Thompson had a double-double game of 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Elasto Painters.

Game 3 of this semifinals series will be on Sunday, 2 March, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
