The Commission on Audit (CoA) has received an independent review statement from the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions Development Initiative, recognizing its methodologies and practices as meeting international standards.
The commission completed a self-assessment using the Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework and submitted its report to the international organization.
The framework provides an evaluation of the commission’s performance in areas including independence, legal framework, audit quality, financial management, human resources and communication.
The Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring, Information and Reporting Systems considers the framework and the independent review statement equivalent to an ISO 9001-aligned Quality Management System.
An independent reviewer, identified by the international initiative, attested that the Commission on Audit’s assessment team had the necessary skills and experience to produce a high-quality assessment.
