ILOCOS NORTE, Philippines — The Ferdinand E. Marcos (FEM) Memorial Stadium has been recognized as the ArchDaily 2025 Building of the Year in the Sports Architecture category, marking a significant milestone in Philippine architecture.
The award underscores the stadium’s world-class design, innovative features, and its growing reputation as a premier sports and cultural venue in Ilocos Norte.
Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, through his Instagram account, expressed pride in the achievement, highlighting the stadium’s inclusive and socially conscious design.
“The Ferdinand E. Marcos Stadium is a stadium park that showcases the barrier-free principles of social architecture. It is the first Filipino finalist voted for the ArchDaily Building of the Year Awards.”
