The Marcos administration’s commitment to economic growth, infrastructure expansion and social welfare programs are now being pushed by its senatorial slate for the 2025 midterm elections as the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas launched its Mindanao campaign in Davao del Norte, a province where President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. won a landslide victory in 2022.
The campaign kickoff was held at the Carmen Municipal Park and Plaza.
In the 2022 elections, Marcos received 470,000 votes out of 577,781 registered voters in Davao del Norte.
"Just as they stood behind PBBM, we believe our Mindanaoan brothers and sisters will back our Senate slate, which shares his vision for progress,” said Navotas City Representative Toby Tiangco, Alyansa’s campaign manager.
The 12-member Alyansa slate includes former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abigail Binay, Senators Pia Cayetano, Lito Lapid, Imee Marcos, Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., and Francis “Tol” Tolentino; former Senators Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Manny Pacquiao, and Vicente “Tito” Sotto III; ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo, and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.
“These are proven leaders with the experience and track record to serve the Filipino people,” Tiangco said.
