Naganap na ang unang kampanya para sa mga tatakbong senador sa paparating na eleksyon sa Mayo sa ilalim ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino - Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) sa Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan City.
Ito rin ang lugar kung saan nanumpa ang yumaong Pangulong Corazon Aquino halos apat na dekada na ang nakalilipas.
Ilan sa mga ieendorsong kandidato ng dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ay sina Atty. Jimmy Bondoc, Atty. Jayvee Hinlo, Atty. Raul Lambino, Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, dating Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez, aktor na si Philip Salvador, mga senador na sina Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa at Bong Go, at maging ang kontrobersyal na pastor na si Apollo Quiboloy.
