

More than 100,000 queries through Hotline 1349 were handled by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in 2024.
According to DOLE, it responded to over 106,905 queries of Filipino workers in 2024 through its dedicated Hotline 1349.
The hotline serves as a vital resource for workers facing various labor concerns, including wages, benefits, employment opportunities, and workplace safety.
The DOLE Information and Publication Service, which oversees the operations of Hotline 1349, cited in its report that the hotline received 102,929 calls and 3,976 emails.
Majority of the concerns received were related to labor standards, accounting for 89,315 queries.
Employment-related concerns followed with 10,826 queries, while social protection and welfare issues accounted for 4,877 queries.
Meanwhile, DOLE received a total of 865 queries related to labor relations.
In terms of labor standards, the most common concerns were non-compliance with final pay.
DOLE’s hotline action officers also provided information and assistance to concerns regarding holiday pay rules and computations, minimum wage implementation, and resignation procedures.
Most of the employment-related queries received and provided assistance through the hotline were related to local and probationary employment.
The DOLE hotline also received 705 queries concerning alien employment permits.
Over 4,800 workers were assisted on matters like non-remittance of mandatory benefits, expanded maternity leave, and work-related accident and death benefits.
Hotline action officers also received and assisted workers with issues related to labor relations, particularly on due process from suspensions and illegal termination, certificates of compliance, and labor union requirements.
Hotline 1349 operates Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
