In today’s fast-paced world, invisible burdens often weigh people down — generational patterns, unspoken traumas and inherited beliefs that subtly shape lives.

Anna Reyes, a master practitioner of the Millennium Method, has devoted herself to helping individuals untangle these unseen threads through the transformative practice of ancestral clearing.

Reyes’ path to this unique practice was anything but linear. A former model and jewelry designer, her life took an unexpected turn when she encountered Tina, a healer who introduced her to pranic healing. From there, her journey into energy work deepened.

“When I was still modeling and producing shows that time, I would make also jewelry. I was so into crystals. And then I met... I had a regular suki. And then apparently she was teaching pranic healing, and then from there, I was so interested because it was really about crystals,” she recalled during DAILY TRIBUNE’s Pairfect.

“I joined her class, then joined her community, then joined all these modalities from Reiki, Theta... Theta healing. Then Millenium Method. That’s how I got to doing this. At the same time also, during when I met Tina, that’s her name, I was also going through a transition.”

Reyes became a mother and struggled with postpartum depression that her work took on a deeply personal dimension.

“I was a new wife and a new mother. I had a lot of questions about, basically an existential crisis. I was kind of depressive” she said.

“I was getting postpartum depression. So when I met Tina and then joined the classes and the workshops, I really dove into that. And... really basically embraced my vulnerability, also embraced my inner demons and really gained a lot of insights from that,” she added.

Inspired by a heartfelt prayer for ancestral healing, her work with ancestral clearing began to blossom organically.

“I realized that this is a fantastic journey and with the things that I have learned, I’d like to help and guide other people with their issues. And the goal is to reach their infinite potential.”

Beyond quick fixes

Reyes emphasizes that ancestral clearing is not a shortcut to solving life’s problems. Many of her clients initially seek quick fixes, focusing on specific issues like relationships or career challenges.

“When they come and see me, they usually want a quick fix. Okay, after this, okay na? ‘Yun gano’n,” Reyes shared.

“You have to do your job. So let’s say I would have like…clients would be like, okay, I want a love life. ‘How come Ana, I’ve seen you so many times, I don’t have a love life.’ Because it’s really not about the love life. But look how you have evolved from it. So you want to, they always sometimes they hyper-focus on an issue. But they never realize of how they have grown and evolved already,” she added.

Reyes encourages a deeper approach, one that involves understanding the lessons behind these struggles and recognizing the progress already made.

Her practice addresses unconscious emotional imprints that can manifest as physical ailments, relationship conflicts, or professional stagnation.

Reyes explains that the root of many struggles often lies in unprocessed trauma inherited from one’s parents or ancestors. Healing, however, is not about assigning blame but about integrating these experiences and embracing the shared qualities that connect us to those we might reject.

In cultures like the Philippines, where religion deeply influences daily life, Reyes often encounters clients whose inherited traumas are tied to suppressed emotions and unspoken pains. She critiques the tendency toward “spiritual bypassing,” where prayers and faith are used to mask emotional wounds rather than process them.

For true healing to occur, she argues, it’s essential to address these suppressed truths and move beyond the cultural mindset of martyrdom and self-sacrifice.

Steps to self-discovery

Reyes offers simple but impactful steps for those beginning their journey of ancestral clearing. The first step is cultivating awareness by observing the beliefs and behaviors of one’s parents and questioning whether those patterns resonate. Reflection follows, focusing on what one’s parents may have neglected for their own self-care and addressing those gaps in one’s life.

Reyes also highlights the importance of re-parenting — offering oneself the love and validation that may have been missing in childhood. This process helps to break cycles of invalidation and allows individuals to nurture a stronger sense of self.

Since beginning her professional practice in 2017, Reyes has witnessed remarkable transformations in her clients.

Reyes recalls stories of individuals who broke free from cycles of pain and found empowerment. For instance, one client, trapped in patterns of unrequited love, was able to move forward and find a fulfilling relationship after clearing ancestral wounds. Another client, stuck in cycles of abuse, rediscovered her strength and independence through the process.

Reyes insists that true transformation requires time and self-awareness. Her goal is to equip her clients with the tools to heal and empower themselves, enabling them to break free from generational cycles and embrace their authentic selves.
