

Fifty-nine percent of Filipinos remained "satisfied" with the administration of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr., according to a survey conducted in December 2024.
A recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, conducted from December 12 to 18, revealed that 59 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with Marcos, while 23 percent were dissatisfied, and 17 percent were undecided.
As a result, the administration maintained a net satisfaction rating of +36, which was classified as “good.”
The Marcos administration received “very good” ratings in five key areas: helping disaster victims (+65), improving the quality of children’s education (+60), assisting the poor (+57), implementing job creation policies (+51), and developing science and technology (+51).
It was rated “good” in other areas, including implementing housing programs for the poor (+49), ensuring food security (+46), maintaining an efficient public transportation system (+45), disaster preparedness for typhoons (+44), addressing climate change (+38), telling the truth to the people (+34), and defending Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea (+32).
The administration gained a "moderate" rating in ensuring no family goes hungry (+26) and was rated “neutral" in terms of fighting crimes against citizens (+4), regulating oil prices (-2), and eradicating corruption (-3).
The government failed in combating inflation, receiving a -12 percent rating, considered “poor.”
The survey also indicated that satisfaction with the administration was highest in Balance Luzon and the Visayas, both at +44, followed by Metro Manila at +31 and Mindanao at +16.
Compared to the September 2024 survey, net satisfaction increased by 13 points in the Visayas, while it dropped by seven points in Mindanao. There were minimal changes in Metro Manila and Balance Luzon.
In rural areas, satisfaction saw a slight dip from +42 to +39, while urban areas experienced a small improvement, rising from +31 to +33.
SWS reported that satisfaction among women remained "good," rising slightly from +33 to +36, while it decreased slightly among men, dropping from +39 to +35.
Among different age groups, satisfaction remained steady at good levels: 18-24-year-olds moved from +38 to +43, 25-34-year-olds went from +36 to +37, 35-44-year-olds saw a slight drop from +38 to +36, and those 55 and older moved from +36 to +37. However, satisfaction among 45-54-year-olds fell by eight points, from +36 to +28.
Meanwhile, satisfaction rose among elementary graduates, reaching +40, while it remained stable for junior high school, senior high school, and college graduates. Satisfaction declined among non-elementary graduates, dropping from +48 to +37, though it remained “good.”
The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 2,160 adults nationwide, including 1,080 from Balance Luzon and 360 each from Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
The margin of error for national percentages was ±2%, and ±3% for Balance Luzon, with ±5% for Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
