A day of impact
British School Manila is committed to supporting meaningful initiatives and creating lasting impact on its students and communities.

Students from Year 6 at the British School Manila recently had the privilege of participating in a heartwarming day of learning and fun alongside children from Tondo, supported by the Upskills+ Foundation Inc.
The event marked a special milestone, as it was the first time children from Upskills+ visited BSM’s Primary School, building upon the ongoing partnership between the two organizations.
Although BSM students often visit Upskills+ venues in Tondo during the school’s Make-A-Difference Week to strengthen community ties, this occasion allowed the children from Tondo to engage with BSM students in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
The day was filled with games, music, dance, and creative art activities, fostering a spirit of collaboration and joy as the children learned about each other’s lives and cultures.
The event was further enhanced by the generosity of the BSM community, who collected donations of food, clothing, and school supplies to share with the families in Tondo.
The collective effort of BSM students, teachers, and families underscored the school’s commitment to supporting meaningful initiatives and creating lasting impact.
“These partnerships provide invaluable opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and contribute to the goals of our community partners,” noted the Year 6 team, who helped bring the event to life.
This gathering was a testament to the continued success of BSM’s collaboration with Upskills+ Foundation Inc., an organization dedicated to empowering marginalized communities.
It also highlights BSM’s dedication to promoting kindness, service, and global citizenship, with the Service Learning program ensuring that students are engaged in experiences that inspire growth, compassion, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
