DAVAO CITY — City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) Head Dionisio Abude is reminding all drivers to renew their Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) identification cards (ID), especially for those expiring ones.
“We encourage our drivers to renew their PUV ID’s or face consequences. This will include Motorize Tricycle for Hire, Taxis, Passenger Vans and Public Utility Jeepneys,” Abude said.
The renewal of PUV IDs is currently ongoing. A fine of P1,000 will be imposed on those caught with non-renewed PUV IDs. It will be the same fine on those who failed to display PUV IDs.
Additional CTTMO personnel will be deployed to closely monitor not just PUV IDs but also observe traffic rules and regulations.
