Bonallack Trophy: Dimayuga splits matches

Enrique Dimayuga split his matches with different partners as Asia-Pacific and Europe forged a 10-all tie at the close of foursomes and fourball matches in the Bonallack Trophy at the Al Hamra Golf Club in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
Dimayuga and Kartik Singh outduelled Dominic Clemons and Charlie Forster, 1-up, in fourballs.
However, Europe bounced back in foursomes through Clemons and Forster who breezed past Dimayuga and Hiroshi Tai, 4 and 2.
Europe dominated Asia-Pacific, 3-2, in fourballs.
Peer Wernicke and Tim Wiedemeyer trounced Rintaro Nakano and Jeffrey Shen Wang Ngai, 2 and 1; Filip Jakucik and Benjamin Reuter whipped Joshua Bai and Zack Swanwick, 2 and 1; and Jose Luis Ballester and Pablo Ereno Perez dumped Phichaksn Maichon and Thanawin Lee.
Apart from Dimayuga’s win, Asia-Pacific drew victory from Hiroshi Tai and Ahn Minh Nguyen who edged Gunnlaugur Arni Sveinsson and Algot Kleen, 1-up.
Asia-Pacific fought back in foursomes, winning three of five matches courtesy of Thanawin Lee and Taishi Moto, Ahn Minh Nguyen and Kartik Singh, and Phichaksn Maichon and Zhou Ziqin.
Europe scorers in foursomes were Jose Luis Ballester and Pablo Ereno Perez, and Dominic Clemons and Charlie Forster.
The fight for the Bonallack Trophy boils down to the singles matches.
Dimayuga takes on Lev Grinberg in one of 12 matches.
